The conference PC computers will be available in the session hall, equipped with Windows 8 and Office 2013.

If using a PowerPoint presentation (or any other format, such as PDF), please bring it on a “disk on key” (using the USB port in the computer) to the A/V technician in the session hall, at least one hour before the start of the session. He will upload the presentation on the Conference’s PC. If you do not have a “disk on key” then you can use one that the technician has for this purpose.

Even if you are using some other form of presentation, please bring with you on the “disk on key” also a PDF file of your presentation, to be uploaded on the conference website.

If combining video films with PowerPoint, please check them in the session hall during a break prior to your session, at least one hour before the start of the session.

In order to prevent delays in the session, we would like speakers to use the conference computer. Their own computer should be used only if for some reason the presentation does not work on the conference computer. In that case, please coordinate it with the A/V technician in the session hall, at least one hour before the start of your session, and please check your computer in the session hall during a break prior to your session. In particular verify that it has a VGA socket for an external signal.

Important notes for Macintosh users:
In order to use MAC presentations on a PC compatible computer, please prepare it according to the instructions below, before bringing it to the Meeting:

be changed to a default font on a PowerPoint based PC).
  2. Insert pictures as JPG files (and not TIF, PNG or PICT – these images will not be visible on
    a PowerPoint-based PC).
  3. Use a common movie format, such as AVI, MPG and WMV (MOV files from QuickTime will
not be visible on a PowerPoint-based PC).
